The learning problems of English book (1)
The lessons text
Some readings and new words of the lessons are very old. They are not interesting for students. Some of their sentences have unknown grammar for example the new words of lesson one.
At number 8 we see the use of "be going to" in a question although we know the students don’t have enough knowledge about it. Some reading have scientific subject which are not suitable for students in grade one in high school some word are subjective which may seem are difficult to learning than the other words which have pictures and aren’t identical.
The grammar rules in English book (2)
The grammar in this book has no consistently some of the grammars are very easy for students and some of then are very complex and difficult. For example the grammar of lesson eight in English book (1) needs more time for teaching although we know we have this grammar at the end of book.
The age of students in this grade
As we know the students in the period are in the age of maturity and this makes that they have some mental problems. These problems are obstacles for better learning. Almost the students in this age have some occupations in their minds.
The Loss of possibilities for better learning
If we want to teach the lessons better we can use some materials. For example, if we use a projector for teaching of new words the students will learn them better and they can have more concentration of thought.
Unfortunately we don’t have these materials in some schools. Although some teachers don’t know how they use the new methods.
The learning problems of English book (2)
The English book (2) has less learning problems than English book (1) but in teaching this book we have some obstacles such as: insufficiency of time, the conditions of field selection and much volume of grammar exercises in some lesson.
As it was said in learning problems of English book (1) we also have those obstacles in learning of English book (2), but they have less important. Now we pay attention to other factors.
Insufficiency of time
As we know we have two hours in a week for teaching this book and it may seem it's not enough time to do all the states of lesson plan. For example, a teacher can't ask all the students orally.
The conditions of field selection
Some students in grade two have to choose a field which they don’t like. In addition to some of them choose a field that they are weak in English and get very low marks because they didn’t learn the English book (1) very well. If the conditions of field selection change these learning problems may decrease.
The problem of grammar exercises
In English book (2) we have a lot of exercises to do and this makes some problems such as, student's boring of doing these exercises and spending much time in class to do them. It seems that if the volume of these exercises decrease a little, the shortage of time can be solved.
The learning problems of English book (3)
In learning of English book (3) we have the problems which were named before. In this book also we have the much volume of words in lesson readings and the way of final exams.
Reading words
In readings we have a lot of new words which the students aren’t familiar with and they must learn them. Of course, some used methods for teaching aren’t useful and effective and some of the students have weak base in learning words last years. They may face a big problems in word learning.
The final exams
In grade three, as we know the exams differs from other exams and this makes that some students become fearful. Sometimes the students in grade three dislike the English book and get many problems. Therefore we must make them familiar with these exams and inform them about it.
Summary
As it was said there are some points which are the obstacles for learning English book in high school term. Such as, the book, the student's problems and school possibilities. These problems aren’t all the reasons of this learning problems and each problem need a kind of solution.
Concluding
According to this essay we must know and learn the new ways to have a better teaching and learning. The students must be informed about the study skills and the use of them so, now we know that we don’t know many things which we must learn.
