a-     To be able to read the passage with no problems and correct  pronunciation .

b-    To understand and comprehend the meaning of the passage .

Step 1 : Introduction

a-     Introduction the lesson by telling the students something . about the passage . e .g

This  passage is about Newton . Few men of that time were greater or wiser than Newton but he often forgot small things .

b-    Teacher writes the difficult words and phrases on the board and explain them .

Step 2 :

 

a- Teacher divides the passage and ask the students to read the paragraphs silently by themselves  and try  to understand the meaning .

b- If some of the students face a difficult point , teacher should to solve them .

c- After each paragraph they respond the question asked by the teacher ( yes or no question them wh ) ( questions ) .

1- Is it a story about Newton ?

2- Did you often forget small things ?

3- What did he boil in the pan ?

Step 3:

 

a-Teacher reads the whole passage at a normal rate .

b- Teacher reads the passage phrase by phrase and students repeat after him / her

            Speaking a foreign language is what most people want. Every year many people start learning one. Some people try at home with books and tapes. Some use the radio or TV programs; Thousands go to evening classes. If they use the language only 2 or 3  times a week, it will take some time to learn a language, like language learning at school. Some try to learn a language fast by studying for 6 hours or more a day. Some travel to the country where the language is spoken to learn it. However, most people do not have enough money to go abroad. Some people need the language to do their work better. Step 3: Teacher explains the new words through the strategies such as : real object , picture , drawing , illustration , gesture and posture , example , synonym and antonym , definition , translation

eg: keep on = go onright  wrong

2. Practice : students read new words sentences and answer their questions . (Teacher leads students)

3. Production : Teacher asks students to make sentences with the new words .

2. Explanation

Step 1 : Teacher tells students some things about the passage in Persian

Step 2 : Teacher reads the whole passage at a normal rate and writes the difficult words and phrases on the board and explains them .

Step 3 : Teacher asks students to the text read , paragraph by paragraph silently ad try to understand the meaning

- If some of the students face the difficult points teacher should try to solve them .

Step 4 : After reading each paragraph , students respond the question asked by the teacher (yes or no questions then wh / questions)

Ali went to school yesterday .

Ali has been at school since two hours ago

2. Presentation :

Step 1. Teacher writes examples on the board with new pattern .

Step 2. Teacher explain about the new pattern to the students .

eg: Ali had eaten his break fast before he went to school .

Ali was tired because he had played football .

Both A and B are about the past . But the use of "had + past participle" indicates that the action described in A happened before the action or state described in B .

Step 3. Teacher explains the interrogative and negative forms

eg.1) Ali hadn't eaten his breakfast before he went to school .

2) had Ali eaten his break fast before he went to school?

3) what had Ali done before he went to school ?

3. Practice : students understand the grammar and use it in new sentences

eg. Teacher : Parvin …………….. the rooms before they arrived . (clean)

4. Production : students write 5 sentences with new grammar
